Meet Janissary, LLC's New Training and Support Specialists: Benjamin 'Banjo' Magby and Alice Lopez

Houston, Texas – Janissary, LLC, a leader in security services and training, is proud to announce the appointment of two outstanding professionals, Benjamin “Banjo” Magby and Alice Lopez, as Training and Support Specialists. Both individuals bring a wealth of experience and leadership that will be instrumental in enhancing Janissary’s training programs and operational support.

Benjamin “Banjo” Magby: A Proud Texan with a Military Legacy

Born and raised in Texas, Benjamin “Banjo” Magby has strong roots across the Houston area, from Friendswood to Cleveland and finally Bryan/College Station. Magby graduated from Texas A&M in 2020 with a degree in Business, complemented by minors in Leadership and Military Studies. During his college years, he enlisted in the National Guard in 2014 as a Cavalry (reconnaissance) Scout, responding to natural disasters such as Hurricane Harvey and completing a tour in Egypt. He concluded his six-year service as a Team Leader, further enhancing his leadership skills.

Magby’s post-college career led him to the prestigious Army flight school, where he now holds the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CW2) and pilots the AH-64 Apache Helicopter for the Texas Army National Guard. His commitment to excellence and leadership is evident throughout his military and civilian careers.

Magby’s history with Janissary began in the fall of 2016, when he served as a contractor performing security tasks and private investigations. After taking time to focus on his education and personal business, Yellow Rose Customs, he is now returning to Janissary, eager to contribute his expertise across multiple departments as a Training and Support Specialist.

Alice Lopez: A Veteran of the Security Industry

Hailing from Tucson, Arizona, Alice Lopez brings over two decades of experience in the security industry to her role as Training and Support Specialist. Alice’s career began in 2000, and through hard work and dedication, she quickly rose to prominence as an expert in her field.

Joining Janissary in the summer of 2021, Lopez made an immediate impact, helping launch several key contracts and playing a critical role in shaping the company’s current operations. Certified as a Level 2 trainer, Alice has led numerous training sessions, mentoring new recruits and ensuring they uphold the high standards expected in the security industry.

Beyond her technical skills, Alice’s unwavering enthusiasm, especially for the Dallas Cowboys, mirrors the passion she brings to her work. Her ability to motivate and inspire makes her a valuable asset to the Janissary team, driving both company growth and employee development.
